MATH

This is the page where you will see their progress in MATH. Ethan has been able to count to 20 for a little over a year. Now he can count to 30. We are working on it, but. I want him to have an understanding of how many of whatever item we are using to count, before we move up to counting higher. We are currently playing a math game to learn addition and subtraction. There is an app on my Kindle Fire, called "Lets Do Math".  It  gives us math  problems to do, and we use different colored plastic lids to show the problems, example; 5 red  lids + 5 blue lids = 10. Ethan counts them, sometimes he can just look at them and tell me how many are there, up to about 6. I put the answer in, and it gives us a new problem. It also has different levels of difficulty.  He LOVES it! Every time I tell him it's home school time, he asks, "Mommy, can we play the MATH GAME"?! I say "We sure can"! We have the Usborne Childrens' Book "See Inside Math, and some other math books and workbooks.
