Why I chose Postcards from Home

  Hello, and welcome to Postcards from Home! We are so glad you dropped by to visit! I chose Postcards from Home because...
 we just joined a home school group on Yahoo groups called Postcards for kids, where we send postcards from our state to other homeschoolers in different states & countries. They send us one back, & we are on our way to collecting & learning something about the place that postcard was sent from. That will be part of our Geography lesson, using a map to show where we received it from. It will also help practice Reading & Writing skills, learning about how to address & stamp postcards, & maybe even a little History along with the Geography! Some postcards include historical facts about their state or country, & things such as the State Bird, State Flower, etc. This will be a fun way of learning for Ethan, & we plan to collect them all again (from participating families), for Logan. They can request a pen pal, & maybe make some life-long friendships!
